The Garment District, also known as the Garment Center, the Fashion District, or the Fashion Center, located in the New York City borough of Manhattan. No other city has a comparable concentration of fashion businesses and talent in a single district. The relatively low rents and the large manufacturing floor plates have attracted photography studios, modeling agencies, PR Firms and a multitude of technology firms and creative office users looking for value in this area just south of Times Square and with the addition of the newly constructed NY Times Building is beginign to attract a multitude of Midtown office users pushed South by the high rents of prime Midtown offices.
